Week 10 Project task

Week 10 Project task this week we have the majority  of the video completed just need to finish up a few pieces. The idea we went with was a animation type style where we talk about moral panics and culture wars, Edmund is doing most the animation but he is trying to teach us also so we know for the future we are starting to get the hang of things  So things are going well we have another week and a bit to finish and sharpen things up and make it up to scratch for the viewing screen in week 11.  I have just be doing extra research to find out any more information on either moral panics or culture wars that we missed and that might benefit from the video. Everything is going well so far just need to finish up a few things and its ready.

Media Representation Week 10 Video Task

Media Representation Week 10 Video Task After watching and analyzing all the videos for the week 10 video task. the idea behind all the videos and information I've gathered is that we examined the ethics of Media and the potential implications For Society, looking particular of representation in media. First Video In the first video It is a series of people explaining why representation matters and how it effects everyone. I learned it was a way i which people evaluate others in what they look like or what they love to do. There are multiple things that need to be represented such as the people or the culture in which the people grew up in which is severely important. And it is important that people can feel like they can watch the content and resign ate with it. I liked the quote " people who can not be represented can not be remembered " was one of the groups mottos so now they try to portray different people with different cultures just so more people could resign at...

Final Rewrite experience

Rewrite Experience After having m y 1 to 1 session with Irene and having my feedback on my blog post I now have a full understanding of where to go and how to improve on my blog posts in the future it was a good help having the 1 to 1 and the personal feedback just to see where I am in my work and where I should be heading to pass or do well in this specific module  Upon going over the comments on my post and reworking it based on the suggestions and critiques from my peers, I now have a better concept of how to improve my writing in the future and learn more about what I'm writing about. It also provided me more time to do extensive research on media ethics because there wasn't anything I needed to modify about the post; I simply needed a deeper understanding of what I was researching and writing about. I also had to make it for educational purposes, namely to explain what the medium is and where the message originated from. So, as one of my peers suggested, I went into more...

WeeK 10 Rewrite Final Rewrite

Media Ethics Link to the original piece  Media Ethics (shanecdmblog.blogspot.com) After watching all of the media ethics videos for week 6, I've compiled a list of my opinions on how each video relates to media ethics. One of the main thoughts that came to mind while watching all of the videos was how, especially in the first video, he explains how the medium is the message, and one of the conclusions I came to was that how one portrays/represents the message they are giving has a significant impact on the person you are messaging. The channels have significantly more influence on society's essential shape and nature than any message provided through that medium. The Medium is the Message The medium is the message is such a interesting quote because what actually does this quote mean or where does it come from firstly the medium is the message    is a phrase coined by the Canadian communication theorist Marshall McLuhan and the name of the first chapter in his Unders...
